Introduction

This is a stovetop mac and cheese. You could also place in a buttered cassserole dish and top with buttered bread crumbs and bake until top is golden brown. This is a stovetop mac and cheese. Ingredients

    1 box Ronzoni Smart Taste elbow pasta
    2 cups 1% low fat milk, warmed
    8 ounces Cabot's 50% reduced fat sharp cheddar, shredded
    1/4 cup brummel and brown margarine spread
    1/4 cup white flour
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Prepare pasta according to al dente instruction on box.

Mean while melt brummel and brown in medium saucepan. Add flour and cook 1-2 minutes. It will form a ball. Add 1/2 cup warm milk. Stir to combine then add mixture to a blender or magic bullet and blend to smooth out lumps, return back to saucepan and add remaining milk. Cook over medium low heat until it barely comes to a boil, stir in cheese and remove from heat. Season with salt and pepper add drained, cooked pasta and serve.
