    1/2 cup warm water
    1 tsp sugar
    2 1/4 tsp yeast (1 packet)
    5 Cups White flour
    2 Tbsp sugar
    2 tsp salt
    1 1/2 cups warm water
    2 Tbs Canola Oil

Makes 2 loaves of approximately 12 servings per loaf.

Mix 1/2 cup of warm water with 1 tsp of sugar and yeast in a large measuring cup, set aside for 10 minutes.

Heat oven to 150F and turn oven light on. Once oven is at temperature turn heat off, but leave light on. This is an ideal environment to let your bread dough rise.

Sift flour, 2 Tbsp sugar and salt into bowl of mixer. After 10 minutes is up, pour 1 1/2 cups of warm water in measuring cup and add 2 Tbsp of canola oil and gently stir. Gradually add yeast mixture to flour mixture with mixer on stir. Mix on slow/knead speed for 7 minutes.

Place dough in a clean, greased bowl and gently roll dough so it is covered in butter that was used to grease bowl. Cover bowl with a clean tea towel and place in warm oven and let rise for 1 hour. After 1 hour, punch dough down and form two loafs and place in greased loaf pans. Again, warm oven up to about 150F and then turn heat off. Place loafs in oven and cover with the tea towel and let rise for 45 minutes. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes. Remove from pans immediately and let cool on a rack.
