This is sort of like Taco Bell's but using only one taco shell to reduce calories. This is sort of like Taco Bell's but using only one taco shell to reduce calories.
Number of Servings: 4


    4 tostada shells
    4 teaspoons taco seasoning
    7/8 cup TVP
    1 cup beef bouillon
    1 cup spicy black beans (mashed)
    1/2 cup FF or reduced fat Mexican cheese
    1 cup Pico de Gallo (mild, med or hot)
    chives (optional)
    lettuce (optional)
    jalapeno peppers (optional)
    sour cream (optional)


Preheat oven to 400.

Heat bouillon to boiling. Turn off heat and add TVP, stir, cover, and let sit 5 minutes.

Place TVP in a skillet along with taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water, let simmer 5 minutes (few tablespoons of extra water may be needed to keep from sticking).

Place tostada shells in oven and bake according to manufactures directions.

Place baked shells on plates, spread on 1/4 cup of mashed black beans, 1/2 cup of TVP mixture, 1/8 cup shredded cheese, picante sauce and chives.

Pizzas may be put back in the oven before adding picante and chives to melt the cheese. Then proceed to add extra topings.
