Introduction

Good hearty dinner! Good hearty dinner!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 1.2 lb Round Steak
    2 T oil
    1/3 cup flour
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 cup water
    1 cup grated cheese

Directions

Cut well-trimmed meat into 8-10 pieces. Mix flour, salt and pepper together in a flat dish and coat meat on both sides. lightly brown meat in hot oil on both sides. Add onion and water. Cover and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes or until meat is very tender (250 degrees in electric fry pan). Spoon meat and its own gravy over hot buttered noodles or rice. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top and serve immediately. Serves 6
