    7 Bell Peppers, 875 grams
    3/4 c Kretschmer Original Toasted Wheat Germ, 78 g
    2-3/4 lbs. Ground Beef 97/3, 1229 grams
    1/2 Large Raw Onion, 150 grams
    2 large Eggs
    1 tbsp Italian Herbs
    1/2 tbsp Pepper, red or cayenne
    Fresh Ground Pepper to taste


Cut tops off of the peppers and remove the seeds. I trimmed the bottoms to allow the peppers to sit flat. (If you leave a whole in the bottom of the peppers, the grease can drain out.) Place the peppers in a roasting pan.
Chop the onion and saute until lightly cooked but not brown. Mix ground beef, eggs, wheat germ, onion and seasonings together. Scoop the mixture into each pepper so that the peppers are stuffed to the top. Put water in the roasting pan to cover at least the bottom fourth of the pepper.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
