Introduction

I made this reduced fat and sugar recipe because I needed to add oats to my diet but really can't stand cooked oats. I made this reduced fat and sugar recipe because I needed to add oats to my diet but really can't stand cooked oats.

Ingredients

    1 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    2 large eggs
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    3 cups old fashion oats
    1 tsp cinnimon
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 cup craisins (optional)

Directions

soften butter. Mix butter eggs and sugar until smooth. Add cinnimon, vanilla extract, and baking soda. Stir in Flour. Mix in oats and craisins. Spoon onto a non-greased cookie sheet. They don't really spread much so press them out a little. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden. Makes 2 dozen
