It's very simple, delicious and cheap! Did i mention cheap? It's very simple, delicious and cheap! Did i mention cheap?
Number of Servings: 214


    -1 cup whole wheat flour
    -1/2 tsp salt
    -1 tbsp reduced fat margarine (I used smartbalance original)
    -you'll need some water, and a tbsp measurer to measure it
    -rolling pin
    - extra salt for sprinkling, spices, herbs, cheese (Optional, calorie count changes)


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

combine the flour, salt, and margarine, and 4 tbsp water in a food processor. process and add more water if needed to make it soft enough to roll into a ball. It should be just sticky enough to hold without sticking to fingers, rolling pin, etc.

Roll out dough as flat and thin as possible.

Tear off pieces of the thin dough, to as many as you want. Mine are only 2.3 calories because i tore them into 214 pieces. You can make them as big as you want but know the calorie count changes

if desired, roll the torn pieces out more to make them larger and thinner.

Spread on a baking sheet and place in oven. watch, as depending on thickness, they can bake very fast, within 4-5 minutes, or take as long as 12. If desired, you can spray them very lightly with a butter spray or cooking oil to help them brown and become crispy. You can also sprinkle with salt or any herbs and spices you want!

Check one to see if it's crispy enough. If it is, remove pan and place on rack to cool. You may need to do several sheets depending on amount of crackers
