Ingredients

    5 medium granny smith apples unpealed
    1/2 cup white flour
    1 cup Old fashion oatmeal
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 cup walnuts
    1/2 cup orange juice
    1 large egg
    Use a misto with extra light olive oil for casserole dish

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F
Stir together apples, 1/4 cup brown sugar, dash cinnamon and orange or lemon juice.
Cut flour, oatmeal,remaining brown sugar, walnuts, egg & oil with a pastry blender or fork in a medium bowl; sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake until apples are tender and top is browned, about 45 minutes. Omit egg for vegan style.
