    Shadybrook Farms Hot Turkey Sausage 4 links
    Lentils, 1 cup
    Garlic, 2 cloves chopped
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Baby Carrots, 2 cups cut in half if desired
    2 large stalks of celery, chopped
    Turnips, 1 medium, chopped
    Kale, 2 cup, chopped
    Water, 5 cups
    Herb-Ox Sodium Free Chicken Boullion, 1 packet (substitute beef or vegetable as desired)
    Buttery Flavour Pam (1/2 sec spray), 2 serving
    Green Peppers .5 cup chopped
    Sweet red Peppers, .5 cup chopped
    Yellow Peppers, .5 cup chopped
    Orange peppers, .5 cup chopped
    fresh ground black Pepper 1 tbsp
    Bay Leaf, 1 tbsp, crumbled
    balsamic vinegar, .5 tablespoon


Spray a large nonstick pot with cooking spray, on medium heat cook turkey sausage, onion, garlic, celery, carrots & turnips until just brown. Remove sausage to a cutting board; add peppers & cook while slicing sausage. Return sausage to the pot. Add water, sodium free boullion & seasonings. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, add kale & simmer for 30 minutes. Add balsamic vinegar at the end.
Makes approximately 12 1-cup servings.

Can also make this in the crockpot on low for 8 hours: cook sausage &slice, then combine all ingredients except kale & vinegar in crockpot. Add kale & vinegar during the last hour of cooking.
