    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 1 cup, strips (remove)
    *Onion powder, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Garlic powder, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Garlic, 4 tsp (remove)
    Salt, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Pepper, black, 2 tsp (remove)
    Chicken Broth, 4 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    Bay Leaf, 1 tsp, crumbled (remove)
    Thyme, fresh, 1 tsp (remove)
    Raw black eyed peas, 2 cup (remove)


Soak peas for 6-8 hours or per package instructions

Place all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours or until peas are soft.

Add additonal salt/pepper to taste. Serve with rice or eat alone.
