    Tamarinds, .25 cup, pulp (remove)
    Water, tap, 1.5 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    *Raw Toor dal - 0.5 cup, 3 serving (remove)
    *chayote squash, 1 cup (remove)
    *chayote squash, 1 cup (remove)
    sambhar powder
    salt

Directions

boil the chow chow in water till tender, add the tamarind pulp, salt and sambhar powder and cook for 7 minutes, then add the boiled daal.
season with mustard if needed.
