    4 cups rutabagas, diced (1 medium)
    1 1/2 cup onions, diced (2 medium)
    3 cups carrots, sliced or diced (3 medium)
    8 cups water
    1 can (19 oz) tomato juice
    2 tbsp liquid broth concentrate - beef
    1 cup small bows pasta
    Groung savory
    Black pepper


Put all the ingredients in a big pot except the pasta.
Bring to a boil
Let simmer about 1 hour
Add the pasta, and continue simmering for about 20-30 minutes

Makes about 14 portions of 1 cup
