Introduction

This (duh!) goes with the German Chocolate Cake recipe that I posted....again, it's very high in calories and fat, so sorry! LOL This (duh!) goes with the German Chocolate Cake recipe that I posted....again, it's very high in calories and fat, so sorry! LOL
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 c. Evaporated Milk - Nonfat
    1 c. sugar
    3 slightly beaten egg yolks
    1/2 c. Margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1-1/3 c. shredded coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

Combine the evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, margarine and vanilla in a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil. Still stirring, reduce heat to a slow boil and cook for 12 minutes. Remove from heat; add the coconut and chopped pecans. Cool until it's thick enough to spread.
***Never stop stirring until the frosting is completely done!!
