Great easy take on beef stew! Great easy take on beef stew!
Number of Servings: 4


    .25 cups flour(in the food calculations I only have 1 Tbls listed because I measured what I had left after coating and only 1 Tbls was gone)
    1 teas pepper
    12 oz beef stew meat( lean)
    1 cup baby carrots or thickly chopped whole carrots
    1 med potato diced(10oz)- peeled
    1 cup diced onion
    .5 pack McKormick Beef stew seasoning( in gravy/taco seasoning section of grocery)
    12oz heiniken Light beer


Heat non stick pan over high
place flour and pepper in a ziplock bag. Dice beef into chunky bite size pieces. Shake in bag of flour till well coated.

When skillet is hot drizzle 1 teas of oil at a time and brown/sear meat in small batches till seared on all sides. Add to slow cooker /crockpot.

Add potato, carrot, and onion to top of beef. Sprinkle seasoning over veggies. Then slowly pour beer over
seasoning to dissolve. Turn cooker on high until hot-( 30 minutes or so) then reduce to low and allow to simmer 4-5 hours.

Makes 4 generous servings you can eat with crusty bread as a stew- or pour over rice. ( rice and bread not calculated in cals)
