Great for taking on century rides or as a pre- or post-workout snack.

    1/2 c. salted pretzel twists
    1/2 c. sliced almonds
    8 medjool dates, pitted
    3 T. cocoa powder
    3 T. peanut butter (smooth or chunky is OK)
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    pinch salt (optional)


Pulse pretzels and almonds in food processor till coarse crumbs form (don't pulverize or pulse into almond butter). Remove from food processor and set aside.

Process dates until finely chopped and forming a ball. Add pretzel mixture back to food processor, along with remaining ingredients. Process till coarse crumbs form.

Shape mix into balls (just press together in your hands, it'll stick).

20g of mixture per ball yields 12-13 balls.
