Ingredients

    6 cups chicken Broth
    2/3 c wild rice
    1 c thinly sliced green onion
    2 c half-and-half
    1/4 c flour
    1/2 tsp dried thyme
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1 c sliced portobello mushroom
    2 T dry sherry

Directions

Combine chicken broth and uncooked wild rice. Bring to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Stir in green onion, cook for 5 to 10 minutes more or until rice is tender.

Combine half-and-half, flour, thyme, and pepper. Stir into rice mixture along with mushrooms. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 1 minute more. Add Sherry, heat through.
