Introduction

Ingredients

    8 medium tomatillos
    1 medium jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    2 cloves fresh garlic, chopped
    1 medium ripe avocado, mashed
    1/4 c fresh cilantro, chopped
    1/4 tsp sea salt



Directions

Run water over tomatillos to remove husks. Chop them up really fine, and mix with remaining ingredients. Serve with Baked Tostitos or your favorite tortilla chips (not included in nutrition info)

Makes 12 servings

*I usually put the tomatillos, jalapeno, onion, and garlic in the food processor and pulse until finely chopped, but not mushy. Then just pour into a bowl and add remaining ingredients.

**Some people find this salsa is really tangy. You can add a pinch of splenda to slightly sweeten it, and it won't change the nutritional info!
