    1.5 lb sausages
    2 medium potatoes
    2 onions, chopped
    4 cloves garlic
    4 carrots
    10 oz chicken stock
    1 19 oz can tomatoes
    2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
    1/2 tsp each caraway seeds and celery seeds
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp each nutmeg and pepper
    4 cups coarsely chopped cabbage
    1/2 cup fresh parsley


makes 6-8 servings. Brown sausage and set aside. Drain fat and saute onions and garlic for 7-10 minutes. add sausages, potatoes, carrots, chicken stock, tomatoes, dill, caraway, celery seeds, salt, pepper and nutmeg. bring to boil. cover and simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes. add cabbage and cook for 20-25 minutes until tender. uncover and increase heat to high. boil for 5 minutes. stir in parsley and serve
