Introduction

This is a traditional Danish porridge based on dark rye bread - it used to be eaten many years ago and is a very cheap meal - full of fibre and protein. Ingredients

    500 gr. Mørkt Rugbrød (Dark rye bread)
    1 litre water
    2 egg yolks
    170 ml og dark malty non-alcoholic beer. Any malt drink can probably be used.
    100 gr. sugar
    Whipped cream for topping

Directions

dark rye bread is left in the water for a few hours.
Afterwards you boil the mixture until it evens. and then for about 15-20 mins.
Afterwards add the beer.
Whip egg yolks and sugar and add that right at the end before serving.
Use whipped cream on top for decoration and topping.
