Ingredients
-
Oats, 0.25 cup
*Jordans Natural Wheat Bran per 100g, 10 gram
Yogurt, plain, low fat, 0.25 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, 0.25 tbsp
Banana, fresh, 1 small (6" to 6-7/8" long)
Oranges, 1 fruit (2-5/8" dia)
cinnamon
Directions
Add oats, bran, cocoa powder (make sure it's plain unsweetened, not hot chocolate) and cinnamon in sauce pan, cover with 1 1/2 cups of water (you can also use 1/2 cup of milk and 1 cup water or all milk if you refer but remember to adjust the calorie content then) bring to a boil.
Chop banana into small pieces while heating up the porridge. Stir in banana and lower temperature. Let porridge simmer until it has the consistency you prefer. I like mine a bit runny. Keep stirring the mixture as it is otherwise likely to burn.
Sweeten the porridge if necessary. The banana should have done this, especially if you used quite a ripe banana. If you need more use Stevia or honey or maple syrup.
Pour in bowl, add the yogurt and orange (sliced) and enjoy.
