Number of Servings: 6


    1 14 oz can of pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
    1 quart almond milk, original flavor (available in the natural foods section, near soy milk)
    1/3 cup sliced almonds
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp ginger
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tsp salt
    2 tbs of butter or healthy margarine. (recipe is calculated with Promise margarine. - using real butter will add cholesterol)


Mix all ingredients in large sauce pan or kettle, heat on low heat for about an hour stirring occasionally. May also be made in a crock pot or slow cooker, and heated over several hours.

Makes about 6 9 oz servings.
