quick and easy French toast quick and easy French toast
Number of Servings: 5

5 slices bread (I used Arnold's 100% whole wheat bread)
    1/2 cup orange juice
    3 eggs
    2 tbsp. butter
    2 tbsp. honey
    1 tbsp. cinnamon

Melt butter, honey, and orange juice together. Pour in bottom of 9 x 13 in. pan. Spread so it coats the pan evenly. Combine 3 beaten eggs and 1/2 cup orange juice in bowl. Dip each slice of bread in OJ mixture and place in pan. Put pan in oven and bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Invert on serving plate and enjoy, adding additional honey or pancake syrup if desired.
Since French toast was originally made with stale bread, you might want to leave slices of bread out overnight before making toast in the morning. There is enough egg mixture for 6 slices of bread, but I could only get 5 to fit in pan, so that is what the nutrition info and recipe reflects.
