    1/4 c. bacon grease, melted
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. low-fat milk
    1/2 t. salt
    1 t. black pepper, grouind


Makes 8 - 1/4 c. servings.

Melt fat, sprinkle flour on top and brown. Add milk and whisk to remove lumps; simmer on low until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over hot biscuits or chicken fried steak.
