Introduction

Great for Diabetics & taste is AWESOME!! Used an old recipe, and replaced flour and sugar with whole wheat flour and Splenda. Didn't think I would like the sugar free syrup, but it was also delicious! Great for Diabetics & taste is AWESOME!! Used an old recipe, and replaced flour and sugar with whole wheat flour and Splenda. Didn't think I would like the sugar free syrup, but it was also delicious!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup whole wheat flour
    6 tbsp flaxseed meal
    2 tsp baking powder
    2 tbsp Splenda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 cup 2% milk
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Mix dry ingredients in a small bowl.

In a medium bowl, mix milk, egg, & vanilla. Add dry mixture and whisk just until blended.

Cook on griddle or in skillet as you would any other pancake. I usually cook mine about 3 minutes on each side over medium-high heat, or about 375 degrees on the griddle.

Top with sugar free syrup or fresh fruit! (Nutrition info is for pancakes ONLY!)

Makes 8 4-5 inch pancakes. One Serving=2 pancakes
