    1-1/2 cups flour
    1 cup sugar or 1 cup granulated Splenda
    3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 Tbsp. unsweetened apple sauce
    1 Tbsp. vinegar (white, cider, or wine)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 cup cold water


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, sugar (or Splenda), cocoa and baking soda into an ungreased 9x9 glass baking dish. Make 3 depressions in the dry ingredients - pouring oil into one, vinegar in another and vanilla into the third. Pour water over all and mix thoroughly with a fork to moisten all dry ingredients. Bake 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve it plain, with fat free Reddi Whip or with a dusting of powdered sugar.
