Number of Servings: 10


    2 pounds of lean ground beef
    1 quart of water
    1 large onion - chopped
    2 T white vinegar
    4 T chili powder
    2 t ground cinnamon
    1/4 t. ground allspice
    1/2 t. garlic salt
    1/2 t. ground cloves
    1 t. ground cumin
    3 oz. dark chocolate
    8 oz. can of tomato sauce
    8 oz can of chopped tomatoes (optional)
    1 bayleaf


Brown the ground beef and the onion together. Once the meat is cooked through, drain any fat. Add water. Add all other ingredients. Bring to bubbling. Reduce heat to simmer for at least 2 hours. Serve over spaghetti (Cincinnati style) or with crackers and shredded cheddar.
