    1/2 head of cabbage sliced
    4 carrots diced
    1/2 rutabaga diced
    1 onion sliced
    4 garlic cloves
    1-2 inch cinnamon stick
    1Tsp chili powder
    1 tsp cayenne
    1 tsp paprika
    1 tsp turmeric
    1 tsp ground cadamom
    1 tsp cumin seed
    1 pinch saffron
    1 box of Pomi diced tomato
    1 .5 cup garbanzo beans
    5 chicken thighs (no skin or bones)
    1 chicken breast.


serves 7 @ 1 thigh each or 1/2 a breast each. .
brown chicken pieces in a large pot. add the spices exept for saffron .Add all the vegetables and one cup water and the diced tomatoes. cook until vegies are soft then you add the saffron and cook until chicken is done.If you want spicier just increase the spice mixture.
Serve with either rice or couscous.
