Ingredients

    Topping:
    3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
    1/4 cup whole wheat flour
    1/4 cup flax seeds
    1/4 cup packed brown or yellow sugar
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp allspice
    3 tbsp butter or margarine, melted

    Fruit:
    5 small apples, peeled, cored and sliced
    1/4 cup brown or yellow sugar
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    12 tsp ground allspice
    2 tbsp orange juice
    1-1/2 tbsp cornstarch


Directions

preheat oven to 375F
combine all topping ingredients in a medium bowl ntil mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside.

combine all fruit ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well. Pour into 6 or 7 cup casserole dish, and spread evenly.

sprinkle topping over fruit - spread evenly and press gently.

bake for 40 minutes or until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown. Best served warm!
