Introduction

Try this one hot or cold--it's delicious either way! Try this one hot or cold--it's delicious either way!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

4.5 cups cooked whole wheat penne, or any other kind of pasta (bow-tie would probably work the best but I've not tried it yet)
    1 can of peas
1/2 can of black beans (approx. 1/2 cup)
    1 teaspoon of olive oil

Directions

Mash up the peas (it's fun!) with a spoon until they form a yucky green paste.
Add the olive oil and beans, and stir it all up.
Add the pasta, mix it in, and you're done!

I would use frozen peas and dried beans instead because cane peas and beans are loaded with salt. But it sound nutritious I would give it four stars. - 8/31/09

This does sound like something I will try. But I would have to use fresh or frozen peas as I can not stand the taste of canned peas at all. But is does sound good. - 10/15/09
