Ingredients

    3 c rolled oats
    1 1/4 c whole wheat flour
    1/3 c packed brown sugar
    1/2 c sliced almonds
    1/2 c chopped walnuts
    1/2 c dry nonfat milk powder
    1/4 c flaxseeds
    1/4 c grape nuts cereal
    1 1/2 tsp cinammon
    3/4 tsp salt
    1/6 c vegetable/canola oil
    1/6 c unsweetened applesauce
    1/2 c water
    1/4 c honey
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 1/2 tsp maple extract
    optional: 1 c dried cranberries (not calculated in nutritional info)

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 F. Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Combine wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine dry and wet together until all coated. Spray cooking spray in 13x9x2. Put granola mixture into pan. Bake for about 45-60 min, stirring frequently, until granola is golden and becomes drier (will get crunchy after you take out of the oven). Can stir in optional cranberries at last 10-15 min of baking. Cool completely. Store in airtight container at room temp. Serving Size 1/4 cup is filling.

Serving Size: Makes 4 cups. Can be doubled.
