Introduction

A simple, yummy dish. It's a family favorite. I used whole wheat noodles, no-fat low-sodium broth, 1 1/2 large frozen chicken breasts and a sprinkle of garlic powder. Ingredients

    12 oz whole wheat egg noodles
    1/2 c unsalted butter
    8 oz (2 cups?) fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1/3 c flour
    2 c fat-free, low-sodium chicken broth
    1 c. skim milk
    1 Tbs ground sage
    2 c chicken, cooked and cubed
    1/3 c Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

Cook noodles as directed on package.
In a large skillet, melt butter and cook mushrooms until browned
Stir in four and blend.
Stir in milk, broth, and seasonings. Whisk until sauce is thickened.
Combine noodles, sauce, and chicken.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Place in a greased 2-quart dish.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake at 350 for 30 minutes (20 minutes in a convection oven.)
