A deliciously spicy scampi to pour over your favorite pasta. A deliciously spicy scampi to pour over your favorite pasta.
Number of Servings: 4


    Shrimp, raw, 16 large
    Garlic, 4 cloves
    Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
    Butter, salted, 2 tbsp
    Parsley, dried, 2 tbsp
    Reisling, 4 oz
    Pepper, red or cayenne, 0.5 tsp
    Chesapeake Bay Style Seasoning (Old Bay), 0.5 tsp
    Lemon juice, 1 tbsp
    Asparagus, fresh, 15 spear, large (7-1/4" to 8-1/2")
    Green Pepper (frozen, chopped, Kroger), 1 cup
    Mushrooms, fresh, 4 large
    Celery, raw, 3 stalk, small (5" long)
    Onions, frozen, whole, 0.5 package (10 oz)
    Roasted Red Peppers, 1 tbsp
    Yellow Peppers (bell peppers), 2 pepper, large (3-3/4" long, 3" dia)


Prepare pasta and set aside.
Heat a large saute' pan on high heat, reduce the heat to medium-high and add olive oil and butter. Once the butter melts, foams up and subsides, add the garlic and red pepper flakes, saute' for a minute, or until garlic browns.
Add shrimp, old bay and white wine and stir to coat the shrimp with butter, seasoning, oil and wine.
When shrimp begins to pink add vegetables, increase the heat, stir and cover, let the wine boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, so that everything cooks evenly.
Remove from heat, add parsley and lemon juice.
Serve over pasta.
