    2 lbs. ground sirloin or lean beef
    1 c. diced onion
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    15 oz. diced tomatoes (no sugar added variety)
    8 oz. tomato sauce (no sugar added variety)
    1 Tbsp. diced green chilies (or 1 fresh jalapeno)
    1 Tbsp. ground cumin
    1 Tbsp. ground chili powder
    2 c. water
    Sea salt & pepper to taste


In a soup pot brown the beef ina gentle spary of organic olive oil on medium high heat. Continue to break meat up into bite size chunks. When meat is almost browned through add onions and green pepper. Cook a couple more minutes until onions and peppers are sort of soft. Turn heat to medium and add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, chilies and spices. Bring mixture to a boil and cooke for about 20 minutes. This is awesome leftover and you can add cheese on top. If you like your chili spicier add more green chilies or sprinkle on the hot sauce.
