    3 cups whole wheat flour
    6 teaspoons baking powder
    4 eggs
    2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
    ½ teaspoon salt
    2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
    1 cup pumpkin puree
    1 ¼ cups milk
    ½ cup molasseses
    ½ cup apple sauce
    ¼ cup butter


In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. IN a medium bowl mix eggs and brown sugar until fluffy, then beat in pumpkin milk, molasses and apple sauce. Stir the wet into dry until just moist. Do not over stir the waffle batter. Brush the iron with a little butter to prevent sticking and cook.
