Taste is excellent! One piece of advice tho, after shredding meat, add the sauce to IT instead of adding the meat back to the sauce. Then you can add as much as you like. I made way too much sauce and it turned out too soupy even after adding cornstarch. Tasted yummy tho! - 4/6/10

Very delicious. I cut the recipe in half since there are only 2 of us. The sauce thickened nicely on its own without adding any cornstarch (I thought it made a nice amount of sauce). This will be worked into the regular rotation! - 4/18/09

Great flavor, very easy to make definitely needed to thicken the sauce. I also left out the salt as there's plenty in the ketchup and BBQ Sauce.

    A hit with the family!

This turned out great. By the time I got home, it had been on high for about 8-9 hours and fell apart perfectly. I did find that the sauce needed a bit of thickening (added about 1T cornstarch) since I planned to put it on some thin multigrain rolls. Great with a dill pickle! - 10/22/09

This recipe makes approx. 1525 gm or 54 ounces for the total recipe. Divided by 12 (it makes 12 servings) a serving is 127 grams or 4.5 ounces. I cooked it with the lid off for awhile to get the sauce to thicken, but I added some cornstarch as well. Came out great! - 12/10/09

I made this recipe on a day when I knew we would be getting home late.
I served the meat on wheat buns and made side salads. My 2 teenagers had 4 sandwiches each. They loved it, so did I.
I will make this one again!

I made this last Friday and it was delicious. My husband loved it and I may spice it up a little next time, with some paprika or chili powder. My kids were not so enamored with it, but they are only 5 and 7 and still learning to try and like lots of different foods. Made great leftover sandwichs! - 1/26/09

One of my favorite Spark recipes! The only thing I did different was to cook it on low (for about 8 hours) rather than high, as I find meat usually comes out more tender this way. - 12/6/10

I don't buy ketchup so used 1/4 Cup hoisen sauce; added 1 T molasses because I also don't buy BBQ sauce. I added some chopped diced canned tomatoes (which is what I use in my own recipes), did not use salt. It was a hit. - 6/21/13

Really good flavor. I would definitely make this again.
I used fresh chopped garlic and omitted the salt and it was just fine.
Pork shoulder was all I had available at the time and the dish turned out a bit high in fat. Go with a extra lean cut of pork if you can.

This is excellent and very easy. I agree with the member who suggested adding the sauce to the meat as it can tend to be a bit too saucy. I served it in tacos with avacado , sour cream, cheese and crunchy salad. I accompany it with a three bean salad. Absolutely delicious my family adore this meal. - 8/30/13

My family is filled with beef eaters, so I switched out the pork with a beef Eye of Round Roast.

I gave my wife the night off (I also do that anytime I grill) and had my sons and their families over.

I served the "Pulled Beef" with whole wheat hamburger buns and a side salad. No leftovers!

I always substitute fresh garlic for the powder and, being a huge mushroom fan, I also add about 8 or 9 ounces of sliced fresh mushrooms. They add a lot of water to the mix, so you may want to reduce the water to a half a cup. - 10/3/15

Another very simple and delicious recipe that the whole family loved, even my extremely picky mother! I used a 3lb. pork butt roast, which I believe is a higher fat cut of meat than a pork loin. However, it shredded apart beautifully making for a very tasty meal that was enjoyed by all. - 9/17/14
