    250g Plain flour with 1.5 tsp Baking Soda
    250g Self-Raising flour
    25g Caster Sugar
    1tbs Vanilla Extract
    2 Medium Eggs, beaten
    250ml Milk
    100g Unsalted Butter


Melt the butter in a saucepan and leave to one side to cool
Put the flour, baking soda (if using) and sugar in a bowl and mix
Make a well in the flour and add the milk, vanilla, eggs and 90g of the butter
Mix the batter until smooth, leave to rest for 5 minutes
Use the remainder of the butter to grease the waffle iron
Make waffles as per usual with the waffle iron adding whatever toppings you desire (fruit, syrup, conserve etc)
