Introduction

Ingredients

    1 Cup Yogurt
    1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
    2 pounds Cubed Lamb
    1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
    1 Large Onion, gratted or diced
    1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
    1/2 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
    1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cumin
    3/4 Tespoon Ground Cayenne Pepper
    3 Tablespoons Curry Powder (we like the hot curry, but use the curry of your choice)
    8 cups vegetable broth
    1 cup uncooked brown rice

Directions

1. In medium bowl combine yogurt and minced garlic. Cut lamb in small cubes and stir into yogurt mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnite. Keep in refrigerator until ready to cook the next day.
2. In a sauce pan bring 2 cups water to boil. add rice ans stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
3. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Saute onions until tender. Stir in marinated lamb mixture. Season with cloves, ginger, cumin cayenne and curry powder. Simmer for 2 hours. Stir in cooked rice and vetetable stock. Return to simmer and cook 5 more minutes.
