This is one of my all-time favorite recipes that Mom always made! This is one of my all-time favorite recipes that Mom always made!
Number of Servings: 4


    1.5 lbs. Round Steak
    1/2 c. White Flour
    1 Envelope Lipton Dry Onion Soup Mix
    4 c. Hot Water


Put the round steak on waxed paper, sprinkle with a little bit of flour and pound with a meat tenderizer a few times on each side. Cut into serving size pieces. Preheat an electric frying pan to 350 degrees and spray with a non-stick cooking spray. Fry each side of the meat until browned. Reduce heat to simmer.

Combine the dry onion soup mix with 4 cups of hot water and pour over the meat. Simmer for 2 hours.

Remove meat, put it in a casserole dish and put it in the oven (set on low heat).

Mix flour and water and use the meat juices to make gravy. Pour over meat and serve.

This goes great with mashed potatoes!!
