    1.25 lb lean ground beef (92%)
    1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
    1 can black beans
    1 can red kidney beans
    1 C chopped green pepper
    1 C chopped onion
    3.5 C water
    1.5 T garlic powder
    2 T chilli powder (or more to taste)
    1 T black pepper
    1.5 T cumin (or more to taste)
    dash of crushed red pepper (optional)


brown beef and drain adding onions and green peppers to soften at end
add rest of ingredients and bring to a simmer for 1-2 hours
