Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    Salt, 0.25 tsp
Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    Baking Powder, 3 tsp
    Granulated Sugar, 5 1/2 tsp
    Flour, white, 2 cup

Tips

This can also be used as a dessert by adding a sweet topping to it.

Directions

Mix all dry ingredients together. Slowly add in 1 cup warm water until mixed in (May not take the whole cup of water). Dough will be sticky. Knead for about 2 minutes. Cover with a cloth towel and let rise in a warm area for 15 minutes. You need to heat up some oil to deep fry the bread. When the dough has rised, roll ( use extra flour to keep the dough from sticking on the rolling pin or table) or stretch the bread out and slowly lower into the oil. Watch the bread closely so it does not burn. Turn the bread over when it is a golden brown. Remove and place on papertowels to drain. DO NOT PLACE THE BREAD INTO A WARM OVEN AS THIS WILL COOK THE BREAD FURTHER AND MAKE IT EXTREMELY HARD.

Serving Size: 8 4 inch diameter bread

I did not mean to rate this 5 stars. This is definitely zero stars. It was so disgusting it was comPletely Inedible!!!!!!!! Way too much salt!!!!!!!!! I think you should make it .25 cups of sugar and 6 tsp of salt - 4/10/12

I am so sorry. You are absolutely right that is WAY too much salt. The correct recipe is:
    2 Cups Flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 T. Sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 cup warm water.

I was trying to figure this out with cups, and apparently it did not work. Again, I am sorry. This also is not doubled.
