Number of Servings: 11

beef soup bone (to make 3-4 cups of homemade beef stock boiled down from 5 cups of water)
    1 can Campbells beef stock
    1 can beef gravy
    3-4 additional cups of water
    1 pk lean stewing beef
    3 cups cubed turnip
    1 cup chopped carrot
    1.5 cups chopped potato
    half white onion chopped
    1/4 cup barley
1/2 cup fine green beans frozen
    1 celery chopped

Boil your soup bone with about 5 cups of water until it has reduced to 3-4 cups. Pour stock in gravy separator to get off the fat and to collect any fatty pieces. Return stock to pot and add barely and boil for awhile before adding turnip. In a separate non-stick skillet, flour your stewing beef and cook it with a little oil. Once turnips have softened slightly, you can add all other vegetables together and all other the remaining ingredients. Boil until the vegetables are too your liking and season to taste.
