Introduction

Ingredients

20 oz package extra lean ground turkey
Juice of 2 lemons
1 small onion- chopped
shallots-3 Tbls- chopped
1 Tbls Olive oil
2 ears corn- cut off ear
half a bag Trader Joes Harvest Blend( 5 servings=1.25 cups dry)
4-5 cups water
2 TblsLow Sodium|Better then Boulion" Soup base
2 Tbls Balsamic vinegar
1 Tbls dried marjoram
.5 tbls dried thyme
1.5 Tbls dried chives
pinch crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
IN a large pot over med hi- add onion. shallots, oil, and lemon juice- cook until onion is translucent( about 5 minutes) Add turkey and vinegar and cook until turkey is done and liquid has cooked out.( 5 minutes)
Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil over high heat. ( 5 minutes)
Cover- reduce heat to med low and cook 30 minutes- or until most of liquid has been absorbed- It will be a thick stew like consistency.
Serve with hot crusty french bread!
Serving Size: makes 7 generous one cup servings or 14 "side" dish servings(1/2 cup each)
