This can be used with turkey as well. This can be used with turkey as well.

    3 c sliced fresh mushrooms
    3/4 c chopped celery
    5 T butter, divided
    2 T cornstarch
    2 c skim milk
    2 chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
    12 oz cooked pasta (I used whole wheat penne)
    1/2 c chicken broth
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp dried thyme
    1/8 tsp white pepper
    3/4 c dried bread crumbs


Cook chicken breasts and cube them.
Cook pasta as directed on package.

In large skillet, saute mushrooms and celery in 3 T of butter until tender. Combine cornstarch and milk until smooth. Stir in mushrooms mixture. Bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute or until thickened.

Stir in the chicken, noodles, broth and seasonings. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Melt remaining butter and mix with bread crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Baked uncovered at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
