    4 squares unsweetened chocolate
    1/2 cup butter
    2 cups flour
    1.5 cups sugar
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 cup sour cream
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 squares unsweetened chocolate
    1/3 cup butter
    4 cups icing sugar
    1/3 cup light cream
    1 cup chocolate chips
    3 tbsp butter
    3 tbsp coffee
    1 tbsp brandy (optional)


preheat over to 350F. Melt chocolate and butter and let cool. Mix flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, salt and baking soda. add chocolate. divide between 2 8" pans, greased and floured. bake 35 minutes or until tester comes out clean. cool. for filling, beat butter until fluffy. add icing sugar and cream and mix until smooth. add melted chocolate. for topping. melt chips with butter. add coffee and brandy. To assemble. use butter cream between layers and on sides. top with ganache and let drip over edges
