    plain yogurt, 2% fat (1 cup)
    white wheat flour (I recommend King Arthur) (1 cup)
    blue cornmeal (1 cup)
    brown sugar, unpacked (1/4 cup)
    salt (1/4 tsp)
    baking powder (1 tsp)
    cranberries, chopped (1 cup)


Preheat oven to 375.

Blend brown sugar into yogurt. Add water and blend until the mixture has a milky consistency.

In a separate bowl, mix flour and cornmeal well. Sprinkle in salt and baking powder and blend.

Chop cranberries (if frozen, thaw a bit before attempting to process). Add cranberries to yogurt and sugar mixture.

Add yogurt mixture to dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed.

Put dough on floured surface. Divide into two equal portions and shape into balls.

Flatten balls and cut circles into eight triangular pieces each.

Place triangles on greased baking sheet. Bake 15-20 minutes.

Makes 16 scones.
