Introduction

Number of Servings: 36

Ingredients

    Proof 2 packets or 5 teaspoons of yeast in .5 c warm water and add .25 t of sugar in a 1 cup measuring cup. It will foam to top of Cup.
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder salt and a spice called mahleb (1 T.) if you have it.
    Beat 5 eggs very well.
    Melt Butter in a 2 cup measuring cup and add the 1 cup of milk to the melted butter making 2 cups liquid.

    Mix all ingredients, place in an oiled pan and let rise for 3 hours. Shape into knots or twisted circles and let rise on parchment on cookie sheets for 1 hour. Bake at 400 for 13 minutes.

Directions

Bake at 400 for 13 minutes One tray at a time.
