Ingredients

    1 onion, chopped
    3 pieces of celery, chopped
    1 large can of tomato juice
    2 cups sliced frozen okra
    1 cup small shrimp (pre cooked)
    1/2 package of Louis Rich Turkey Smoked Sausage (like polish sausage)
    1 Tbsp basil
    1/2 Tbsp thypme
    black pepper to taste
    red hot pepper flakes to taste
    1 tsp garlic powder
    enough water to make 2 gallons
    1/2 cup rice

Directions

Combine all ingredients except rice in a 2 1/2 gallon soup pot. Cook on high until it comes to a rolling boil. Add rice. Then turn heat down to low and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Makes at least 6 large bowls of soup.
