Number of Servings: 7


    1 large or 2 small onions
    500g extra lean beef mince
    tin of unsalted kidney beans
    1 beef stock cube
    a few fresh basil leaves
    3 heaped tablespoons oats
    2 teaspoons dried mixed herbs
    teaspoon chili powder
    salt and pepper
    1 egg


Chop the onion and cook for 3 minutes to slightly soften. Put in mixing bowl and allow to cool for a few minutes.

Add the beef through to the salt and pepper. Tear the basil leaves when adding. Mix well with hands.

Add the egg and mix again.

Shape the burgers. Cook in a nonstick pan lightly coated with cooking spray. Cook over low heat for 7 minutes on each side or until thoroughly cooked.

Serving Size: Makes 7 patties
