Ingredients

    For French Toast:

    1 egg white
    1 tbsp half and half
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    dash of cinnamon
    2 slices whole wheat bread
    0 calorie cooking spray

    For Topping:

    1 medium banana, sliced
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 tsp Smart Balance or other light buttery spread
    1 tsp Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
    1/4 tsp powdered sugar (optional, but included in calorie count)

Directions

Combine egg white, half and half, cinnamon and vanilla extract in a shallow bowl. Soak whole wheat bread in mixture. Spray frying pan with 0 calorie cooking spray. Toast bread on both sides over medium heat. Put aside.

Melt buttery spread in pan. Add sliced banana, vanilla extract and Splenda Brown Sugar Blend to pan. Cook until bananas are soft and brown sugar blend has combined with buttery spread to create a caramel sauce.

Top French toast with banana topping and powdered sugar, and serve.
