    Beef, round steak, 1.5 lb (remove)
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 2 cup, strips (remove)
    *Peppers, sweet, red, fresh, 1 large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" (remove)
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) (remove)
    Mushrooms, canned, 1 cup (remove)
    *Wheat flour, white, bread, enriched, .25 cup (remove)
    Salt, 1 tsp (remove)
    Pepper, black, .5 tsp (remove)
    *Lea & Perrins Original Worcestershire Sauce, 4 tsp (remove)
    Garlic powder, 1 tbsp (remove)
    Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    2 Tbsn conola oil


Cut peppers and onions into strips
mix dry ingredients
cut round steaks into 6 pieces coat with flour mixture
heat oil brown meat add water scrapping bottom of pan loosing pieces add peppers, onions & mushrooms cover simmer for 1 hour

  • This made a nice gravy with the meat strips. I served it over over stuffing. I buy several bottom round roasts when they go on sale and pre-cut/freeze into family portions-- Always looking for good recipes. This was tasty and easy and the ingredients were basic. Will be making this again. - 12/1/11
